Alaska
12. June until 04. July 2009

We can’t recall who was more surprised, the moose in the pond feeding on water lily bulbs, or us on our motorbike.
Spotting brown bears, caribous and bald eagles on the way to Fairbanks, made our day. An unusual experience was trying to fall asleep at midnight in broad daylight. From Anchorage, we travelled by train to Seward. On a day’s cruise to the incredible glacier at the Kenai Fjords, seeing humpback- and killer whales, dolphins, seals and puffins made the trip really worthwhile.
Tenting and hiking in Denali National Park was a beautiful but wet and cold experience. Fortunately the weather improved for the inside passage cruise from Skageway to Prince Rupert.
