Mexico
29. September until 23. October 2009

Contrary to what we had heard, crossing the border at Tijuana was no problem at all. The arid landscape of the northern Baja California was fascinating with cactuses as tall as houses. From La Paz we sailed overnight to Mazatlan on the mainland. The
Colonial heartland and silver region with their cities Zacatecas, Guanajuato and San Miguel de Allende (UNESCO world heritage) gave us plenty to see. The many baroque churches, cathedrals, museums and colonial buildings had us touring
these towns for hours. Mexico, what a wonderful and interesting country!
